With sadness but with hope in the Resurrection we announce the repose of our dear Saba Saba.
Saba was one of the early founders of St. Andrew Church and he led the Building Committee ministry for many years. During construction of our temple it was not unusual to see Saba on the scaffolding or working outside on the grounds. Saba always fought to get us the best prices involving the construction. He was at the forefront in getting permits and variances from the City of Riverside driving long distances from Temecula to Riverside as many times as it took to accomplish that. Met with architect, contractor, mayor, city officials and whoever he needed to meet with to accomplish our goal of building a temple to the glory of God and in honor of St. Andrew the Firstcalled. He was out there from breaking ground to cutting of the ribbon and beyond. He served on the parish council and other committees and along the way, sponsored many of our parishioners in Holy Baptism.
May Saba’s soul rest in the Heavenly Mansions. You have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for you the crown of righteousness which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will give to you
